Twenty-Four

Thanksgiving break was kind of bland and sad. So, I will not bore those who read this blog with the details. Tuesday Night I did hang out with the lovely Krystal. We drove around and played with puppies. Aka, it was an awesome time. I also saw the movie Enchanted which was completely fantastically. I completely fell in love with Gisele, who my mother said she was the most eccentric princess, was just like me. I also spent a lot of time working on my Zionism Achad Ha’am Report and the shiny new face of The Core. But I will cut the fat of this entry and only leave the things that are of most interest and ridiculousness. Do not worry, I have oodles of pictures.

Friday I did a lot of research on Achad Ha’am and through different coding sites trying to figure what was the most dynamic code to write Dj profiles in. Mother and I had a lovely dinner together. Since our Thanksgiving wasn’t that good, we made our own. There was Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and rolls. It was la-la-lovely. I was in heaven. Around 8:30 I headed out for Mike’s house since it was our plan to go to the Museum and early Saturday Morning. I was so happy to see Michael. We, as I have mentioned in previous entries, have this strange yet very strong bond. Seeing his face just adds to the happiness in my life. The moment I arrived (seriously Mike and I were unpacking my stuff) Nick and Dane pulled up in a car.

The men folk talked as I read more about Achad Ha’am. Achad Ha’am is my favorite Zionist thinker. I feel like he is the most rational of all the Zionist thinkers. From what I have read (The Wrong Way, Jewish State, His Letter to Pinkster) he seemed to just want the Jews to come together culturally since he felt they would not be able to come together as a nation until that happened. But now I am going on a tangent. Apparently there was a part as Dan ____’s House. Lets be honest the call of free alcohol and old friends is too much for men in their 20s to ignore, so we were off.

Dan ___ has the most beautiful house. The fridge is seriously the size of my bed. There were a lot of people I knew there and some I didn’t know. Dominique always greets me with, "Where my chicken wings at." This always brightens my day. It was nice to meet and talk to people. J-Jay made this weird mixture of alcohol. It has limes and lemons and berries in it. Over all it made me feel strange, though through the grape vine I heard it tasted very good. Strangely enough I saw someone form my Imperial Russian class. Small world, ne? After enough fun was had at the party, and certain hi jinx which I will not mention in this blog for the safety of myself and others will not be mentioned. Nick and Dane wanted to get Philly Cheese-Steaks and me being the only sober one was asked to drive to Philadelphia. I have never driven in Philadelphia and I am certain my mother strictly forbade me from driving in Philadelphia, but Michael can simply talk me into anything (sans anal sex or him inserting his balls into any of my or orifices), so here I was driving to Philadelphia.

So, here I am in my little silver Rav-4 with Michael, Dane, Nick, and Tyler jam packed into my car. I spent half the trip being nervous and making semi-wrong turns that I corrected last minute. With a deep sigh of relief from me, we finally arrived at our destination without a problem. We went to Geno's, it is shiny and practically made out of neon-lights and fat. Sometimes I wish I were a man so I could indulge in such fatty decadence. I had no idea that me driving to Philadelphia would entail me freezing while waiting for fat that I would not be enjoying. I spent most of the time freezing, and thinking that my car was going to get ass-raped by hoodlums. Since, I am obviously the most RATIONAL PERSON EVAR. Tyler was nice enough to buy me a Diet Cola and let me have some of his cheese fries. I was rather content. Finally I was able to head home, drop everyone off, and leave my care safe and sound in front of Michael's house. The night ended with Michael, Tyler, and I watching various videos of two-legged dogs. It was amazing. Don’t doubt me.

Saturday Michael and I went to the Mutter Museum. It was amazing. It was filled with all sorts of things that most people would find disgusting. I found it thrilling, since it was filled with: body parts, skeletons, dead babies in jars, and more. Call me morbid, I am a disgusting person. I left the museum with a distinct craving for bone marrow, if that makes me any more sickening to you. But I personally adored it, and I am glad I am dating such a boy who can enjoy such things with me.

Michael took me to a dinner at the mall (how romantic) and got me this “Japanese-styled” chicken and rice along with an Orange Julius. I was happy enough. Then I spent hours working on my paper, with little movement. Achad Ha’am and The Core will be the Death of me. Then came Nick’s party, which ended up being a gather of Michael, Dane, Drew, Joe, Jordan, Nick, Tyler, and of course yours truly. I genuinely had a lot of fun. It was the first time I allowed myself to be peer-pressured into drinking, and it lead to me eventually getting tipsy. But I am a responsible young adult, and did not drink for several hours before so we got the fuck home. Before all that, I played drinking games, Dress got dropped on the keg, and Dane passed out. That pretty much summarizes the night.

SATURDAY PICTURE DUMP:

Dane is ready to party. He has his party pants on.

Idk, this pic is EPIC.

I suck at guitar hero more than old people suck at computers. WHATEVER.

Before Drew was dropped. =/

It was right about now when things began to go wrong.
Dane passed out, Michael Laughing, and Joe posing. Greatest picture ever...Y/Y!

One can never have enough pictures of Dane passed out. Especially since how in his passed out state he got from point A to point B.

THE END

Sunday was filled with Achad Ha’am, family dinner, and a family freak out. Since I am trying to be nice I will not rely Michael’s family problems on the internets. See you next weekend.

Twenty - Three

Michael and I had a very simple weekend. So do not think this entry is *super*.

Friday

Michael, Dane, Jordan and I went to Philadelphia to see Control. It was a very well done film about Joy Division's Ian Curtis. I really enjoyed the style of which it was done. But it made me think Ian Curtis was a pussy =/. We walked around and got Chinese Food at thing really lovely Chinese Food Restaurant. That is practically it. Sorry. I have been doing a lot of work lately and that means less fun-fun time.

Saturday:

Dane and Joe came over Michael's house. There was drinking, dirty talk, and we watched That Thing You Do on VH1. Instead of talking about this weekend, I am just going to show you pictures. Oh and this weekend was the weekend some bitch at the Salon fucked up my hair.

Enjoy:

Twenty - Two

This weekend wasn't that exciting. Friday and Sunday was really just Michael and I loafing about. That is why there is no pictures of that. But Saturday while Michael was off in New York doing computer things, Veronica and I decided to go out . Though we truly wanted to go to parties, but College Ave was dead, so instead we went Weird NJing it. Where did we go....DUNDUNDUN....SHADES OF DEATH ROAD.

Yes that is really the name of a road in New Jersey. We drove an 1:22 drive from New Brunswick to Warren County (Aka, very north) to visit this gem of New Jersey roads. We had a very interesting drive, which we spent most of it on completely dark highways and completely dark rural roads. It was over all very bizarre. I have never traveled on such consistently dark roads for so long. It was almost like the moment we left New Brunswick we were covered in complete black. There were also barely any buildings, two of the few was a Farm Market in the middle of no-where and a really large really nice bank that was just on the side of the highway.
Theres were seriously two of the few things we saw in the dark before we reached the town.

Upon entered Great Meadows, the area of which SHADES OF DEATH ROAD is, things began to go...well..strange. I made a wrong turn, because Kate Moss(My gps system) was being a coked out hoe, and ended up on a really strange creepy rural road. Then Kate informed me to turn on Tranquil Farms Road, so....we thought..this shouldn't be so bad. WE WERE COMPLETELY WRONG. It lead me down this really tiny weird close to a ledge road. On one side of me was forest and corn and on the other side of me just a drop. I was honestly kind of scared. The road was too small for a K-Turn, so I was forced to keep going. Before I knew it I ended up in a farm that was in complete desary. It was creepy and old looking, and Veronica and I were pretty sure *we were going to die*. Veronica said later, "I was like, this is the perfect way to die. I'm on my way to SHADES OF DEATH ROAD, I end up in a creepy farm. This is totally the time for a man with an axe to come out." Finally realizing there was no way out forward, I made a very quick K-Turn and we got the fuck out. Yet Veronica and i realized a light was on in the beaten up house....we were trespassing on Private Property. So we GTFO.

The actually road was very strange a rickety in the middle of it there is this weird tree. It is surrounded by corn fields and deer. Once we got the picture, we drove as quickly and safely as possible.

In the end we comforted ourselves after our long tenuous journey with rainbow pops and late night talks. It was lovely but mildly horrifying night.
